As part of a one-night ambient festival unfolding in the sacred architecture of Brorson’s Church, I collaborated with visual artist Liv Stæhr Rødtnes to create a meditative, ever-shifting visual landscape. Audiences were invited to come and go freely, lying on soft mats beneath the vaulted ceilings, immersed in a dreamlike field of sound and light.
Our visuals were mapped to the architecture through four projectors and performed live in response to the music, blooming across the space in abstract formations. Anton Friisgaard, Julie Østengaard, and Dub Tractor performed a beautiful arrangement that Liv and I continuously engaged with — blending in and out of each other's visuals and effects in a dynamic, intuitive dialogue.
My contribution explored the meeting point between the earthly and the celestial — a vibrating interplay of soil, water, and cosmos. The work echoed the ancient idea: As above, so below.
